Søndag d. 11. august – Introduktion til Know Your Neighbours
Skyttegade 3, 2200 Nørrebro
kl. 13.00-14.30
Vi mødes til et varmt-velkommen til projektet, Know Your
Neighbours og en introduktion til ugens forløb.
Derefter spiser vi frokost sammen og følges til Hindu
Templet i Vanløse.
Søndag d.
11. august - Hindu Tempel
Skjulhøj Allé 44, 2720 Vanløse
Kl. 15.00-19.00
Krishnabevægelsen og det eneste ISKCON Tempel i København
inviterer til et indblik i det åndelige fællesskab Templet huser, hvor vi vil
få mulighed for at opleve den rytmisk mantriske sang, Kirtan, og smage på de vegetariske retter som Templet serverer.
Tirsdag d.
13. august – Moské
Eriksminde Allé 2, 2650 Hvidovre
Kl. 17.30 – 20.00
Danmarks ældste og eneste kuppelformede moské inviterer
til et oplæg om islam og naboskab, med rig mulighed for at stille spørgsmål til
emnet specifikt eller islam og muslimer generelt. Dagen vil blive afsluttet med
et lækkert aftensmåltid i moskéen.
Onsdag den
14. august - Trampolinhuset
Skyttegade 3, 2200 Nørrebro
kl. 17.00-20.00
Trampolinhuset er et brugerstyret kulturhus for
flygtninge og andre borgere af Danmark, der sammen arbejder for en human
flygtninge- og asyl politik.
Huset vil invitere til oplæg om initiativet og
fællesspisning med husets øvrige brugere. Her vil der være mulighed for at
opleve et alternativt fællesskab, der rummer forskellige kulturer og
traditioner – og hvor du endda kan besøge husets frisør og skræddere.
Torsdag d.
15. august - Christiania
Vi mødes ved
Christianshavn Metro St.
Christianshavn Torv, 1400 København K
kl. 17.00-20.00
Vi besøger fristaden, der har til målsætning at opbygge
et selvstyrende samfund, hvor hvert enkelt individ frit kan udfolde sig under
ansvar for fællesskabet.
Her vil få en rundvisning og en snak om fristandens
historie og forhold til naboerne både inde- og uden for standens murer. Christiania
vil byde på et indblik i deres dagligdag og vi vil spise aftensmad på et af de
lokale spisesteder.
Fredag den 23. august – Jødisk Sabbat
Vi mødes i
Trampolinhuset. kl. 17.00
Skyttegade 3, 2200 Nørrebro
kl. 17.00-20.00
Når solen går ned fredag aften
indtræder jødernes vigtigste helligdag, hvor vi er inviteret til at fejre den
syvende hviledag og den jødiske sabbat. Sabbatten vil byde på en lækker kosher
middag som traditionelt deles mellem familie og venner - og denne aften også
med naboer.
Hele ugen vil blive
filmet og optagelserne vil blive brugt til en dokumentar af ugens forløb. Alle
projektets deltagere vil blive inviteret til et gensyn, hvor filmen vil blive
vist og et eksemplar af dokumentaren vil blive uddelt.

11th August – Getting to Know Your Neighbour

We meet
for a warm-welcome to the project, Know Your Neighbours, and an introduction to
the week-program.
We will
eat lunch together and head for the Hindu Temple in Vanløse.
Sunday

The
Krishna Movement and the only ISKCON temple in Copenhagen invites for an
insight to the spiritual community, which the temple accommodates. Here we will
have the opportunity to experience the rhythmic mantric song, Kirtan, and taste the vegetarian dishes,
served by the temple.
Tuesday
13th August – The mosque
Eriksminde
Allé 2, 2650 Hvidovre
5.30 to
8.00 p.m.
Denmark’s
oldest and only domed mosque invites to a presentation on Islam and
neighbourhood, which is great opportunity to ask question related to
neighbours, Islam or Muslims in general. The day will end with a nicely cooked
dinner, which we will eat together at the mosque.
Wednesday
the 14th August – The Trampoline House
Skyttegade
3, 2200 Nørrebro
5.00 to
8.00 p.m.
The
trampoline House is a user-driven culture house for refugees and other citizens
of Denmark who work together for a humane refugee- and asylum policy in
Denmark.
The house
will invite for a presentation on the initiative and dinner with the users of
the house. It is a great opportunity to experience an alternative community
that brings together various cultures and traditions – and you can even visit
the house’s hairdressers and tailors
Thursday
the 15th August - Christiania
We will meet at Christianshavn
Metro St.
Christianshavn
Torv, 1400 København K
5.00 to
8.00 p.m.
We will
visit Christiania, a free town aiming at building up an autonomous society
where every individual is free to unfold under the responsibility of the
community.
Here we
will get a tour around Christiania and a chat about the place’s history and
relation to neighbours, both inside and outside of Christiania. Christiania
will give an insight to the daily routine in the free town and we will finish
by eating dinner at one of the local eateries.
Friday 23nd August – Jewish Sabbath
We will meet in the Trampoline
House at 5.00 p.m.

8.00 p.m.
When the sun goes down on Friday evenings the most
important holiday for Jews takes place, where we are invited to celebrate the
seventh day of rest and the Jewish Sabbath. The Sabbath will offer a delicious
kosher dinner traditionally shared among family and friend – and this evening
also with neighbours.
We will be filming the whole
week and will compile a documentary. All project participants will be invited to a reunion where we will
premiere the film and everyone will be given a copy.
